Band Bio

John Hunt was born in Altus, Oklahoma, but grew up in Southern California.  He started playing electric guitar at age ten, often joining his piano-playing cousin in family jam sessions.  When asked why he picked music for a career John is quick to say, "Music picked me.  It's the only thing I've ever wanted to do."  As the band's reigning guitar veteran, John has toured with Rocky Burnette, Melissa Manchester, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Engelbert Humperdinck.  He's also contributed much in the studio, notably on Burnette's "son of Rock 'N' Roll" album, and Juice Newton's "Well Kept Secret" album.  Having successfully played music of various genres from jazz and R&B, to rock, country, blues, and metal, John gravitates to blues rock and jazz.  Cream showed him early on how heavy rock can have a successful blusey side.  Clapton's tone, phrasing and vibrato continue to be influences for John to this day.
Steve Azola was born in Detroit in 1955, moved to Chicago at an early age, then landed in Baltimore.  He began studying piano at age eight, switched to guitar for a brief period, then found the bass by twelve. He played rock ‘n’ roll around B’more through the 1970s, then followed his dreams to Southern California in 1978 to further expand his musical horizons. In the early 1990s Steve’s focus turned to the blues, and he has actively played the San Diego club scene with several popular bands – Chill Boy, The Tourists, The Tone Kings, Jump Jones, and Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute act Alan Iglesias and Crossfire.  Not only a seasoned bassist, Steve is also a professional luthier whose line of acoustic/electric upright basses and bass guitars can be found on stage and in the studio with many well-known artists worldwide.

Eric Januszko was also born in Detroit.  Eric’s parents welcomed him into the world in 1965 and introduced him early to their favorite music by Cream, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.  Eric started drum lessons at age ten with Detroit-area drum legend Joe Chila.  When Eric’s family relocated to Southern California in the early 1980s, he started playing throughout the Southwest in various bands playing AOR, alternative rock, pop and blues rock.  Most recently, Eric was the founding drummer of well-known Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute act, Alan Iglesias and Crossfire, a gig he did for 5 years with fellow band member Steve Azola.
